ISSA Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay [ISSA] chapter is a vendor and product agnostic organization serving the Information Security professionals in the Tampa Bay, Florida area and is comprised of approximately 175 members.

The chapter is sponsored by several organizations who fully support it and its members. The chapter hosts 4 meetings and 1-2 events per year with around 150 people in attendance at full day engagements. Our chapter has an active Board of Directors and multiple volunteers who donate their time to ensure our meetings and events are engaging. Our chapter meetings cover a wde range of topics focusing on both emerging and traditional risks and address the challenges information security experts face today.

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.

The primary goal of the ISSA is to promote management practices that will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information resources. The ISSA facilitates interaction and education to create a more successful environment for global information systems security and for the professionals involved. Members include practitioners at all levels of the security field in a broad range of industries such as communications, education, healthcare, manufacturing, financial, and government.
