Get Your Wi-Fi Ready for the iPad

Apple has sold over 52 million iPhones and iPads in the first half of 2011. These employee-owned consumer devices are making their way to the workplace creating a new set of security and management challenges for IT departments. Aruba has developed a new solution to help customers scale their "existing" Wi-Fi network (including Cisco Wi-Fi) and IT helpdesk processes to support productivity enhancing bring-your-own-device initiatives. Aruba's clientless solution provides a mechanism to secure, provision and manage employee-owned devices while minimizing IT overhead.

ELIMINATING DATA SECURITY THREATS

Unstructured and semi-structured data presents unique challenges to IT organizations when it comes to identifying who has access, who is accessing and most importantly, who should have access to shared Windows, NAS and UNIX folders, SharePoint sites and Exchange mailboxes and public folders. Information Security organizations have traditionally struggled with the overwhelming manual process of enforcing authentication, authorization and accountability controls on these resources as well as identifying data owners who should be making these decisions. Varonis Systems, a global leader in data governance presents new solutions for helping meet these challenges both today and into the future.

Brian Vecci is a 14-year technology industry veteran. Prior to joining Varonis, he held systems architecture, applications development and project management roles with companies in a variety of industries, including financial services, legal services, publishing and enterprise software development. Throughout his career, Brian has helped companies design, build and maintain flexible, robust and secure information technology systems and services.

Brian joined Varonis in 2010 and now manages the Technical Marketing and Strategic Accounts team.

How Information Security Can Become a Corporate Profit Center

In today's economy budgets for data security can be scarce.  In most companies, security is considered to be a cost center into which you can pour a lot of money yet still be considered "insecure".  However, security and privacy techniques can be turned around to show
businesses how much money is being saved by not having breaches or incidents, improving workers’ productivity, and potentially avoiding law suits.

In this presentation we will discuss innovative ways to leverage security and privacy to show the business return on their investments and justify additional necessary security expenditures.
