No Packets, No Security
Full content packet captures can provide valuable insight into an analysis or investigation. Depending on the placement of the capture device, an analyst may recreate an exact timeline of events between two or more hosts. A key component of this process is being able to replicate content transferred between hosts based solely on the packet capture. With a full content packet capture it is possible to extract a bit-for-bit copy of files transferred between hosts across many application-layer protocols.
Boni Bruno has been active in the system integration, media distribution and security community for the last 20 years. For over 12 years his specialization has been designing, developing, and deploying secure computing infrastructures usually consisting of high-speed networks and digital media platform systems. In the last 9 years, Boni has been focusing on the security industry - business issues relating to E-commerce, Digital Rights Management, Content Delivery Networks, Physical Security, Video Surveillance & Analytics, and securing data assets of various kinds for various companies. Currently, Boni is serving as Technical Director for Endace, a manufacturer of security platforms and network recording devices. He also holds CISSP, CISM, CGEIT and IAM security certifications. |
