Louis A. Jurgens, CISSP, Executive VP for Sales and Marketing Mr. Jurgens is Executive VP for Sales and Marketing at SAGE, an Internet security firm in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to SAGE, he was a business and technology consultant with special emphasis on Internet and networking security, assisting companies with sales and marketing, and devising promotional strategies for high technology products. Mr. Jurgens also has a successful background as an entrepreneur as co-founder and partner in a retail computer store chain, and was previously the founder of a small systems integration firm. Mr. Jurgens has security expertise in cryptography, PKI, and multi-level security. His technical background, grounded in Electrical Engineering, gives him the ability to understand product strengths and weaknesses at a detail level and to devise appropriate product marketing strategies. Mr. Jurgens has written software, including modules for early ARPANET nodes, mainframe diagnostic software, and a real-time operating system, though his time these days is mostly spent on architectural and policy issues. Mr. Jurgens has been a speaker at Federal computer conferences and has
been interviewed on Sky Radio business channel for major airlines. He
has spoken at the Office of Management and Budget at the request of the
Executive Office of the President, and at various security conferences. |
