Peter Bybee, founder and CEO, Network Vigilance Peter Bybee is the founder and CEO of Network Vigilance (www.netvig.com), a 18 year IT security consultancy based in San Diego. The organization specializes in IT risk management, Security Risk Assessment, solution development, and strategic security planning. In 2001, Mr. Bybee founded of Vigilant Management Services, a managed security services company that provides 7x24 Intrusion monitoring, outsourced firewall management, support, and compliance reporting for compliance oriented industries, including healthcare, banks, credit unions, and PCI-related organizations (retail, e-commerce, etc.) He has worked extensively with private companies to assist in investigations of identity theft, malicious hacking, corporate espionage, malicious software programs, intrusion prevention, and disgruntled employee-caused sabotage. Mr. Bybee has a BA in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from
San Diego State University. He is a Certified Information System Security
Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
He has published articles in industry trade journals, appeared as a security
subject matter expert on TV and radio, and has guest lectured at UCSD,
Cal State San Marcos, and National University. He currently serves as
the President of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA),
San Diego Chapter. |
